The STC Summit continues to deliver value over and above its cost. It is a premier opportunity for professional development for technical communicators, with a lot of information packed into a convenient time and location. Beyond the education sessions and trends discussions, the networking and further insight into the STC are important and useful for anyone making technical communication their profession.

I look forward to the Summit every year, and this year’s conference did not disappoint. The educational sessions and networking opportunities were exceptional.

I couldnt wait to return to work to tell everyone what I learned. Things like structured content to better communication, page design and word minimization, and overall seeing a vision for how documentation can be done SO much easier, faster and with more consistency. Maybe I’m overly idealistic, but I have learned invaluable tools to help create and maintain documentation and am excited about completely rethinking our methods.

Because I work for a small company, I wear a lot of hats. More than any STC Summit I have attended in the past, the 2018 meeting really provided me with insight on a wide variety of subjects that are particularly relevant to my day to day job: manager, marketer, trainer, and more. Well done to the organizers and presenters!

As a first timer, I thoroughly enjoyed the conference. I gained a lot of new information, was exposed to many new ideas, and made a lot of wonderful contacts. Access to key folks with Adobe was incredibly informational and beneficial. I’m very glad I came to the event and will plan on attending the next one. Well done.
